Customization
What you can and cannot customize on the map widget.
All widget customization is done through the Map page in your admin panel. Changes apply to both the hosted booking page and the embedded widget.
What you can customize
Branding colors
Control the colors of key map elements to match your brand:

Logo
Upload separate light and dark logo variants. The light logo is used on dark backgrounds and the dark logo on light backgrounds, ensuring your branding is always legible. Supported formats: PNG, JPG, SVG. Recommended size: at least 200px wide with a transparent background.
Theme
Choose between light and dark map themes. The theme affects the map tiles, UI elements, and popup styling.
Map center & radius
Set the default center point and search radius (in km). This determines what area and which experiences guests see when the map first loads. Set it to your property’s location so nearby experiences are immediately visible.
Directions
Enable directions to let guests see routes from their location to experiences on the map. Guests can switch between walking, cycling, and driving.
Website URL
Set your website URL to be displayed in the map UI.
Experience visibility
From the Events page, control which experiences appear:
- Visible — shown on the map
- Hidden — not displayed to guests
- Featured — highlighted prominently on the map

These elements are managed by tickadoo to ensure quality and consistency:

Map tile style customization is on our roadmap. You’ll soon be able to choose between different tile styles to match your brand.

If you need a customization that isn’t available, contact us at support@tickadoo.com. We regularly add new features based on partner feedback.
Will changes update immediately?
Yes. After clicking Save changes in the Map editor, updates are reflected on your hosted page and embedded widget immediately — no need to update embed codes or redeploy.
Do customizations affect the booking flow?
No. Your branding colors and logo appear on the map and experience cards, but the actual booking flow (selection, payment, confirmation) follows tickadoo’s standard design to maintain trust and conversion rates.
